SECRET OF THE WHISTLER

Continuing on in fine fashion in terms of an excellent print is the 1946 SECRET OF THE WHISTLER, Dix's penultimate entry in the series.

This time the unseen whistler knows all about mentally disturbed artist Richard Dix, whose first wife died under mysterious circumstances. Wife Number Two (Leslie Brooks) begins to suspect that Dix's earlier spouse may have been murdered, and that the artist was the killer.
