Woman in Hiding Empty Woman in Hiding

The 1950 noir WOMAN IN HIDING is excellent.  It stars Ida Lupino, Stephen McNally, Howard Duff and Peggy Dow.

So far as the rest of the world is concerned, Deborah Chandler Clark (Ida Lupino) is dead, killed in a freak auto accident. But her new husband (Stephen McNally) is not convinced and so, is worried that she may still be alive.  Having discovered a horrible truth about her new husband, she is the "woman in hiding" living in mortal fear that someday her husband will catch up with her again.

Peggy Dow is cast against type but does a fine job as the not-so-happy "other woman".

Howard Duff, Ida Lupino's real life husband-to-be, co-stars as a returning GI. Can he save her?

Keaney gives it a 3.0 and it's a 6.9 on IMDb.  Agree.  It moves along well and keeps you engaged.
