Enjoyed the 1949 noir CLAY PIGEON starring Bill Williams, Barbara Hale, Richard Quine and Richard Loo.
Keany gave it a 2.5 and I agree with that rating.
Inspired by a true story (a lot of leeway in that statement), it's about William's experiences in a Japanese POW camp. Awakening from a coma in a naval hospital, he finds he's been accused of murder. Not quite certain of his own guilt or innocence, he escapes from the hospital in search of his best friend, another ex-POW named Ted Niles (Richard Quine). En route, he is forced to kidnap Martha Gregory (Barbara Hale, Williams' real-life wife), the widow of the murdered man. And then... (I don't like to tell too much or give any spoilers).
