The Embezzler Empty The Embezzler

THE EMBEZZLER is a short (61-minute) Brit noir from 1954.  It stars Charles Victor, a bank clerk who is told that he has only two years to live.

Victor laments that he has lived a life of "quiet desperation" complete with a constantly nagging curler-headed wife. He impulsively decides to steal stacks of cash and heads out of town.  And so the (short) adventure begins...

Keaney gives it a 2.5, but it's only 5.3 on IMDb.  I'd weigh it more towards Keaney, but then I find Brit noirs rather charming--generally.
