Hunt the Man Down
The 1950 noir HUNT THE MAN DOWN stars Gig Young, James Anderson, Lynne Roberts, Mary Anderson, Willard Parker, Harry Shannon, Carla Balenda and Gerald Mohr.
Public defender Paul Bennett (Young) dedicates himself to freeing an innocent man who has been on the run for 12 years. Accused of murder, transient Richard Kinkaid (James Anderson) had been unable to afford adequate legal representation at his first trial. With no new evidence, Bennett is obliged to solve the murder himself, and to do that he must track down the original witnesses to the crime. He enlists the help of his one-armed, ex-cop father Harry Shannon. Can they hunt them down and is one of them hiding critical information?
At a rather brisk 68 minutes, this is a solid noir. Keaney gives it a 2.0 & it's 6.5 on IMDb.
