Wildside Press guidelines - fiction
Wildside Press is primarily a reprint market (in that we publish very little original fiction, outside of that which is used in our magazines).
Most of the books we look for are:

Most of the books we look for are:
- By older authors (originally published between 1930 and 1990).
- Still in copyright in the United States.
- By an author with an existing following.
- Part of a series, or available with enough other books by the author to create a publishing program.
We will look at original book-length work (35,000 to 120,000 words) if:
- The author has a following. (Readers will seek out this work.)
- We have an existing relationship with the author. (You've published in our magazines? Yes!)
- You are an active member of the Mystery Writers or America, Sisters in Crime, or the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
Note:
- We publish primarily ebooks and print on demand paperbacks. (We also publish 6-10 books/year by traditional means.)
- With very few exceptions, we do not offer advances.
