The Chase (1946)
The 1946 noir THE CHASE is excellent, but finding a good print has proved problematic.
UCLA did a restoration and while it's very viewable, it's not as sharp as most "good" commercial versions.
Class Film Noir used the VCI Entertainment version in one their volumes (along with BURY ME DEAD), but it's not as sharp as the SAME version put out by VCI Entertainment directly.
So if you are in the market for a copy, I believe the best available is the VCI Entertainment copy.
Regardless, if you haven't seen it. I highly recommend it.
